Dear members of the board,
I hope that you all had a great summer and are ready for a fresh academic year. With Corona we all know that things remain special, but we are optimistic for the future. If anything, it has put immunology and virology in the spotlight for the general public.
Hereby I wanted to personally invite you for the annual meeting of HID, which as you know, will be an online-online event on 01-02.10.2020. I am attaching the preliminary programme to this email. There are still quite a few things to be determined, but this will be done in the next weeks. In order to make this event a success, first of all, I kindly ask you to register for the event here: http://hid.hr/registration-hid-2020/
This will allow us to easily send you a link to the online event, which will be held on ZOOM.
More importantly, I ask you to stimulate your PhD students, postdocs and other team members to register and submit an abstract to email@example.com
The template for the abstract can be found here: http://hid.hr/hid-2020-abstract-form/
Naturally, this year there will not be a Poster session. However, as you can see in the preliminary program, we planned for 9 short talks (12 min +3min questions) and three Bright Spark talks (15min +5min questions). There will also be online voting for the Brightest Spark. Therefore, on 15.09, I will also ask you to evaluate up to 10 abstracts and nominate 1 for Bright Sparks. Since the lectures will be on 01.10, these evaluations need to be done in one week so that we give people enough time to prepare.
Again, this year’s HID will not be as enjoyable as it usually is. However, I am asking you to help me and Inga to make the most of it.
